Happy Birthday Dad!!!!

Today would have been my dad's birthday...... [img]graemlins/cake.gif[/img]

He was born October 28, 1922 he would have been 80 years old today [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (yep he was older when he had me)


Anyway... Some how that thought has only crossed my mind on or two times in the last month. Which is unusual because before I would obsess on any significant anniversary or memory that had to do with him.

I misss him sooooo much and love him so much even though when he was alive and well I never really told him. But I tell him all the time now, in my head...and prayers... I wonder if that counts for anything?

I didnt get the chance to know your dad..all i have are your memories of him..and they are special to me..being a daddy's girl myself..i cannot even imagine life without him..but we all know its bound to happen..i know he is smiling up there telling all the angels..LOOK thats my girl amy down there..i'm proud of the woman she became..and the way she has turned her life around..i know he is smiling and saying he loves you too..how can he not..your the best one of all his kids..and i dont care who knows it..you are there for your mom..when no one else really is..you worry over her..you do everything you can to keep her happy..as you would have done for your dad too..memories keep the love in our hearts.. Reading this post made me stop and think for a while - about chloe's father, and about my own father..as he is no longer around either...

And if there is a Heaven up there...I have no doubt that Mr P. is looking down at his youngest daughter with the utmost love and pride - not just today, but every day...

I can't add any more to what Blazey said...she said everything so well, but I'm going to crack open a beer tonight, and raise it to chloe's father...
